Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Apr 30, 2013 3:13 pm Hi, I am looking to run the speakers cables for my home theater room. The problem is its a corner room, and the house frame is steel (JG King home) so not much space in the roof along the outside walls, I tried to get there and I couldnt reach, also the roof is colorbond. I did run cabling for my friends home, but that was a wood frame and tiled roof. So how can I run the cables ? Can I remove the screws of the colorbond and access the sides like we do with the tiled roofs? any idea's? Re: Running Speaker Cables For A Steel Frame 2May 01, 2013 7:24 am You can lift the roof sheet to gain access to the wall cavity. The other option is to cut a small hole in the plasterboard up near the cornice and then either push your wire up in to the roof space on a yellow tongue or drop a weighted string down from the roof space and grab it. You then need to patch and repaint the wall, so the roof sheet is the first thing to try.
