Hi home theatre gurus!!!
I just bought my husband another LCD tv. We are planning just to use it for everyday tv watching as we have another LCD in our dedicated lounge room that has the Video (yes we have some old vids that we don't want to let go of) and the DVD etc with it - that we will watch movies on. The idea is to mount it on the wall and hide the cables/power points etc, and have no tv cabinet with it, just a stand alone tv as it has a built in HD tuner.
I have read the forums and get the general impression that the right height to mount it is about eye height? Is that right? The room that it's going into is 4.52 x 6.15 - planning on putting it on the 4.52 wall.
Does this sound ok - is there anything that I should be mindful of (have already told hubby - NO POWER POINT BEHIND TV - HOT SPOT!!).
Is eye height the way to go - or could we afford to mount it a bit heigher to get it out of the way?
