Marble kitchen benchtops

Yay or nay?

And what price should I be expecting for a 3metre bench top without waterfall?
Real marble or reconstituted?
I think real marble will blow our budget, so reconstituted marble...
Looks nice but to look really classy you need the thicker benchtop.

Problems are its hard to put something down quietly, and don't drop china or glasses . . . . they don't bounce.
There's plenty of realistic looking reconstituted marble look stone nowadays.
Pricing will depend on the exact stone and edge treatment. You really need mitred edges if you are have anything over 20mm
This is a tricky one

We thought about it, but when we factored it and in, in thicker profile, the cost was SSS.

A real estate agent I know was against it. She said some of the busier marbles really polarize people.
So we didn't get it.

I kind of wish we had now, just a very subtle one. Oh well

Do you think this kitchen is original

Kitchen Corner

No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s
