Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 13, 2020 7:35 pm We’re nearing handover of our new build and are worried about mouldy gyprock. About a month ago we had flooding on the ground floor due to the storm water not being connected. Mould formed pretty quick on the gyprock and skirting. Now the storm water has been connected the house isn’t flooding anymore (last weekend was a great test). However, all that was done to treat the mouldy gyprock was the paint over it! I asked the SS and he said “the gyprock will be inspected”. I’m appalled that they’re not replacing it, so would appreciate some feedback if this is normal practice, or should I be pushing for them to replace it??
