Floorboard pics! 281Jun 22, 2009 9:07 pm Jo, Good to hear you are enjoying your lovely new house =D I'm so happy everything has gone fairly smoothly for you! We are in the process of trying to work out a few things with Carlisle... They won't let us have 600mm wide niches (yes I am still trying!).. Apparently it is because the villaboard can't hold the weight or something ridiculous... We are also trying to get them to allow us to have a company on site to do prewiring (this company is servicing most of the estate... but Carlisle won't let them.. ) They are more than $1500 cheaper than Argus Technologies, so it is pretty ridiculous. Can't wait for more pics hehe Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! Floorboard pics! 282Jun 22, 2009 9:15 pm Sorry to hear you are still getting resistance on those niches. It is crazy - you see them much bigger in heaps of display home, so there is a solution. It seems they just don't want to do it for some reason. We weren't given any hassle about it, very odd. How long now until your land settles? When are you due to sign the final contract? Floorboard pics! 283Jun 22, 2009 10:04 pm Well done on the move Jo, it sounds exhausting but so exciting!! Cant wait to see the finish product, your landscape designed looked pretty awesome from what i remembered, especially the massive deck! Has the floorboards and carpets been installed and finished? Congrats again on finally being able to do all the finishing touches on the house!! Congratulations. We had very similar floorboards in our old house and they are impossible to keep clean. Every little footprint shows up. I used to mop them every single day. But they ARE gorgeous, and when we came to sell our house it was the floorboards that the purchaser fell in love with Re: Our Carlisle Monaco 32 - The house is ours! Floorboard pics! 285Jun 23, 2009 11:44 am Thanks Wonderland. Yes all floors laid and even the driveways and paths, including the extension of the concrete for the big deck. I need the place a little more presentable and will take lots of pics on the weekend - promise I shall try to do few before then as my most loyal blog reader (my Mum!) is getting impatient. Oztish - yes I love the floors. We didn't want high gloss as wanted to not worry about every scratch, and also hopefully these are better with dogs. The doggies who of course are bringing in dirt constantly... I am on the hunt for a massive swisher mop thing for the timber as the area is quite big. Floorboard pics! 286Jun 23, 2009 10:20 pm Thanks to a few of the Carlisle threads and their floorplans today we requested a fixed price quote for the Riverton 30 in Alamanda. Will be interesting to see what it comes back as, i'm currently guesstimating about $10-14k inc Covenents. We've got very little fill (less than 150mm) and the block is virtually flat so it shouldn't be heaps, probably the only cost would be the price for a H class slab due to the clay surface. Since the T-Range is a little less speced up vs the Affinity range has it is now called we're looking at adding a few extras, would love those lovely corner bi-fold units but I think the cost might be a little prohibative for us so maybe we will stay with a standard 4 leaf bi-fold or stacker type door, perhaps the walk-in-robe fitouts I see in the afinity range or maybe just do a double hanging rail instead. Sorry for the semi hi-jack Dog just wanted to say thanks really for this thread, I will start my own when we have more details Re: Our Carlisle Monaco 32 - The house is ours! Floorboard pics! 287Jun 23, 2009 10:49 pm Congrats on the Riverton Zerosignal!!! Its a great floorplan! Is it actually true the facade is standard?? I find that so hard to believe, wish our facade was standard... Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! Floorboard pics! 288Jun 23, 2009 11:12 pm The display facade is standard and includes feature render in the price. see http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/trange/ ... facade.jpg We are actually looking at the Somerton facade which is a $1,250 upgrade - which adds more render a second highlight corner window but overall it is very similar to the standard facade. I will scan the facade in and post it when I start up a thread on the Riverton if we end up going ahead with it. Re: Our Carlisle Monaco 32 - The house is ours! Floorboard pics! 289Jun 23, 2009 11:18 pm zerosignal, that facade looks awesome, I really like the colours theyve used on it. What colours will you have? You having any structural changes/extras to the house? Sorry doghouse for hijacking your thread....... Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! Floorboard pics! 290Jun 24, 2009 10:42 am No problem with the hijack! Zerosignal - just looked athte Riverton, it looks lovely. I didn't realise the T-range homes were available in two different sizes. Base price seems great value for the size. I hope the fixed price you get is ok. Re the upgrades, we felt the bi-folds pretty much made our house, especially with our rumpus walls removed to create the one big family/dining area. But it is a big cost. Like everything, has to be considered in light of total budget and your priorities. The other options you mention will still provide a nice open feel.. Quick update - had a call today to arrange delivery of the new sofas for the family room. So they will come late Friday afternoon (a great excuse to leave work early!). Very exciting. Then once more unpacking done and the place looking reasonable on the weekend - there will be photos. I especially like the spa photo - Looks like fun! Are your tiles in the bathrooms Luxe Anthrocite by any chance? We are doing contracts with CH at the moment and have gone for luxe anthrocitre. Then our wall tiles will be Liberty Crema. Are your wall tiles plain white? Enjoy your new home! Our floor tiles are Savvy Charcoal Textured 400x400 (grout Charred Ash), wall tiles are Linea Grey 200x300 (although they are white!). They have a sort of etched wavy pattern through them. Our ensuite shower has Serenity White Structured 300x600. Except for ensuite shower, all were standard tiles. Really liking the floor one, as it has a bit of a rough texture, so seems good in the wet areas, especially inside the shower. Good luck with your choices and contracts. Photos! 298Sep 16, 2009 10:18 am Hi Has been a while between updates... At work so don't have photos to upload here - but I did update the blog this week with photos of our wonderful new deck - so check it out! Other progress - lounge curtains in yesterday and final blinds for back room on order (first fabric chosen wasn't available...). And the sparky and his two workers at the house today to hang a million light fittings and change some switches and stuff like that. He has a long list of jobs... I can't believe I have lived with the chinaman's hats for three months, but wanted to get everything before getting the sparky in. Now really hoping everything looks great when up. The house will look very different tonight. Shall put photos up soon. Also we had our three month maintenance inspection with Carlisle this week. So a couple of pages of mostly minor things which they will sort out. They didn't quibble on anything we wanted added to the list, even if minor. Shall probably start a thread in landscaping soon as that is our main challenge left, now we have decking, drains etc finished we can concentrate on greenery.
