Yes not a problem. We have moved in and started to get things together like landscaping etc. Just need to find a moment to get some photos up. Thanks for getting back, is it possible we can come see the finish as per your availability and talk about good and bad experiences you had from start to finish only if you donβt mind ?? Re: Hall & Hart - Madison (Contemporary) at Willowdale 35May 16, 2021 12:50 am adalon Had our contract meeting today and signed all the required documents and final contract. Hopefully looking to start building early next month. Just need to get our finance finalised and sent through to Hall and Hart. So far very happy with Hall and Hart. Biggest positive so far to me is not having any major surprises along the way in terms of variations and hidden costs. The original tender fee we originally received seemed to allow for all the items which other builders we received quotes from had not included (ie, bushfire rating, site slope, salinity etc). This has made the process to date a lot less stressful. Especially after reading some people on Homeone being slogged unexpected site works variations for tens of thousands of dollars. Hi adalon, We have been quoted 90K for site costs by HH about a week ago plus another 20K for BASIX, salinity and standard marine environment, so all up 110K. Our site is pretty standard, quiet street etc. It is the initial estimation only, but it appears so large. Way off relative to any other builder. We asked them about it and the sales rep said that's pretty standard and what he would expect. Does this seem reasonable? Thank you! Re: Hall & Hart - Madison (Contemporary) at Willowdale 36May 16, 2021 6:57 am Hi there. We had: Slab upgrade: $4,030 Salinity requirement: $2,745 Bushfire: $9,000 Additional estate requirements: $1,600 So $17,375 additional for site related costs. Although this was 4 years ago when BASIX requirements were a lot less and our block was in a new estate so totally flat and already set up to build on. On a separate note, I couldnβt recommend Hall and Hart more. Good quality finish and no nightmare stories around that you hear about most other project home builders. What you had been added seems very reasonable. We were expecting something around 30-50K given it's a KDR site. Can't get my head around the material handling extra charge of 20K as an example. Other things we have much less understanding of so hard to tell. Really appreciate you sharing your experience and thoughts, also on the overall HH recommendation. I have a really long hallway which is 1100mm W x 11500mm L I would appreciate if anyone can give suggestions to light it up with Linear LED lights that goes from wall to… 0 8824 |
