Thought it was now time to start posting the build. For now will have to get my action by watching Hayleyyyy & baby blondes house builds which are only a couple of streets away from me! Must be exciting.. Think I need to start a thread about where we're at as had lots of slow down n stop with plantation. Who was ur sales person and csa? Here's hoping it all goes quick Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 13Sep 13, 2016 8:19 am Hi Sales person was Susan and she was amazing, CSA is Sam, she's been sick a lot lately so we have had a lot of delays with her, but she seems to be back on track now. Was supposed to go to council a couple of weeks ago but hasn't gone yet, hopefully soon! On the whole plantation has been good to deal with so far. Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 14Sep 13, 2016 1:27 pm Got an email today from GCCC with the plumbing and drainage compliance permit so hopefully that means paperwork has finally been lodged with council and things are starting to move. Yay! Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 15Sep 13, 2016 2:37 pm Sue at ormeau was lovely. She left the company apparently. Our sales guy Michael knew her. Our csa is Stacey, funny apparently she's had sick time too. We signed in April, tender was end June colours next day, then had to get geotech report.. Went back end July, did electrical thereafter, it was apparently sent to certifier beginning August, got plumbing certificate thru. Our relaxed covenant has been approved thankfully but only just got site costs.... Bit more than quoted... And it's taken a few weeks to advise us.. We're now trying to spk to a manager to sort it all out, we had hoped to be starting on site by now.... Ormeau is lovely up there x Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 16Sep 13, 2016 3:34 pm Congratulations on deciding to build a Riviera. We have moved in to ours 3 months now. I love the layout and can't imagine living in a different house. Although, my interactions with the Plantation Homes staff have soured a fair bit since the house was handed over to us and we are in the "maintenance phase". Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 17Sep 13, 2016 5:12 pm lmm70 Got an email today from GCCC with the plumbing and drainage compliance permit so hopefully that means paperwork has finally been lodged with council and things are starting to move. Yay! We found out we had full approval the same day we got our plumbing email - hope it's quick for you too Your street looks similar to ours (thought it was at first glance) but relooked and realised we don't have the footpath Are you far up the street or closer to the park? We looked at a block on the upside of the park but on the street running parallel. Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 18Sep 14, 2016 2:39 pm Kpear 121 That would be great if approval was that quick - haven't heard anything else yet. Got the email today that the design approval was accepted so another thing crossed off the list I am on the park side of the road above the park. I am the highest block on that side with retaining walls, the blocks above me have not released yet so the road stops at my block at the moment. PS - I have to ask how are you getting the original message contained in the reply? It is driving me mad trying to do it, I tried hitting quote typed it all up but then it wouldn't let me submit. Sure I am missing something basic! Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 19Sep 14, 2016 2:43 pm DramaTown Where did you build? I went through a Riviera just before it was handed over at Yarrabilba that might be about your timeframe. Love the floor plan of the house, it has always been my favourite. Have you had lots of drama's since handover? What sort of problems have you had? Re: Plantation Homes/ Molto Riviera/ Ormeau Ridge Qld 20Sep 14, 2016 2:51 pm lp77 Sue left to become an Artist, big change! That's very interesting that your CSA has been sick as well. As we knew there was a risk of site costs being more we took the fixed price option which cost a little more but means any adverse site or soil issues become PH problem and cost. Also mean we could keep advancing the file with them while still waiting for land registration. Think it will pay off as the other day the workers blasting the hill above me came and spoke to us and said hope you are not planning on putting in a pool because you will find it impossible! Hi all. Anyone know when the $11,000 limit was set in legislation for renovations in QLD? Ive been renovating for 5 years now and this was the limit back then.
