Hi Everyone - in the early stages of a KDR with Sekisui and wanted to share our journey as we've gained so much from all the other groups posting on here.
We have a narrow block, 12.19 wide and 42.67 long - so although it's narrow we have a modest 520m2 which is all we need
The narrow block limited our options and after much research, including renovation options, we decided to go with the Tallowwood 1232 N01 ... we'll add drawings etc. in future posts!
So far our experience has been OK, a little slow, but we're not in a rush so happy to work through all the variations etc and make sure we get things right - or as much as possible. After reading through the various KDR forums we've tried to be as clear as possible and try to avoid the multiple versions and delays ... thanks everyone for sharing, it really has helped us
OK - some detail and dates;
04/02/2015 - Paid deposit for tender/proposal
14/02/2015 - Pre-colour appointment
10/03/2015 - New home proposal received
01/04/2015 - Paid deposit for contract
11/04/2015 - Final colour appointment (booked)
Because we provided very detailed variations we agreed to proceed straight to contract stage, however head office suggested we complete one more draft version and if we're happy they will execute the contract in 'one' business day.
All in all we're pretty excited and with a little of our own research we've been able to ensure the items in the contract are all required.
As soon as we get the next draft version and new drawings we'll upload and start sharing colour schemes etc.
Please feel free to join our journey, ask questions, provide suggestions or simply comment.
Thanks,
