Have a good day everyone, Julie Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 62Mar 04, 2015 8:56 am Enjoy your day off and the concert Julie No idea on the shutters - we haven't got that far yet. Are you getting them throughout? We're thinking about getting them for the boys' rooms as two of them face north and are at the front of the house. Not entirely decided yet though. I'll try and put so more updated photos up this evening, last day of work today, we're off on a cruise tomorrow for 9 days, I can't wait. Julie Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 64Mar 13, 2015 10:27 am I would never have thought to choose your brick colour Julie, but they look really good!! Decking looks awesome too have fun on your cruise, can't wait to see more pics Building our first dream home in NSW Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 65Mar 13, 2015 5:23 pm Enjoy your cruise Julie! Your house is coming along great Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 69Mar 14, 2015 6:40 pm was just admiring your blackett bricks - great taste (we used them as a feature tile in our alfresco/courtyard area) Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 70Mar 15, 2015 9:00 pm Can I ask which direction your house faces? We are considering the Marcoola 30 with the back bedrooms 3 and 4 on the north side, Media on East, etc but im a little concerned the main living/kitchen/dining are going to be dark. How do you feel about the natural light? Our bricks are Blackett ( sandstock range), yeah we love them too Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 74Mar 22, 2015 3:33 pm Hi ChanR, sorry for the late reply,we've been away, our house faces east, our outdoor alfresco/entertainment area and rear garden face north(the living and alfresco areas will capture natural light all day),however we don't think there will be sufficient light in the dining/kitchen areas, we are considering putting in a skylight ,after the build,we just want to wait and see first. It shouldn't be too bad. We love the Marcoola range of homes. I hope this helps you with your decision, Julie Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 75Mar 23, 2015 11:48 am We've thought the same thing about the kitchen in the Daydream Julie. Well, I have, the husband reckons we'll have enough light. We've decided, like you, to wait and see what it's like before decided on a skylight. We're putting plenty of artificial light in there in the meantime. I need an update Follow my Coral Daydream 28 build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72384 Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 78Apr 02, 2015 7:10 pm Hi everyone/Mellywil,sorry I've not been on, my father had cancer and he passed away on Monday, I've kind of put our build on the back burner ( SS says it's still running to schedule, and believes it will be finished by end of April), give me a few days and I'll go and take some photos and I promise to update everyone, and to catch up all of your builds progress. It's been a difficult couple of months, first my husbands mum in January and now my dad. Wishing you all a happy Easter, Julie Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 32 80Apr 02, 2015 8:19 pm So sorry to hear that Julie. My thoughts are with you and your family. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13781 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4357 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74717 |
