Ohhhh Hahhaha sorry I was off with the fairies. Will they fit under the cornice? I don't see why you couldn't put it together upright.

Good luck cat dunc, IKEA has a pax robe builder program so you can see what will fit your space and what sizes you will need. Took me hours but was worth it. Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - Handover 745Sep 26, 2015 11:34 pm Hey Deluded, how's the Hebel floor feeling and sounding? Can you still hear your daughter running around up stairs? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 Re: Alkira Homes 746Sep 28, 2015 7:36 pm Tribe7 cat_dunc I'm off to google PAX wardrobes, thanks for the hot tip! The Pax wardrobes look good, is there a lot of cost savings going the ikea route vs getting someone to go in and do a measure quote , fit out etc. cheers Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - Handover 747Sep 28, 2015 8:05 pm richiey30 Tribe7 cat_dunc I'm off to google PAX wardrobes, thanks for the hot tip! For the time it took to put together it was well worth the saving. Have you tackled yours yet deluded? Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - Handover 748Sep 29, 2015 10:31 am deluded ok quick update, rain has slowed down the completion of my wall but the guys really made an effort by working in the rain and finished the job yesterday fireplace is fantastic but really unable to tell the effectiveness yet. the volume of hot air is really keeping things warm. Definitely need to work out when to use fans and the ducted aircon (in fan mode) to cycle the warm air around faster. I've got ikea wardrobes to build for the walkin ... fingers crossed it won't fall apart as I'll need to install while it is standing since it isn't possible to do while down and then propping back up. photos will be soon! .. promise! it's only been a week since moving everything in and I've still got a room full of space bagged clothes that require a quick wash .... Hi Deluded you are keeping us in suspense with no photos. The laundry can wait!!! Ha ha. We have been living vicariously through you and need our fix. Cheers Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - Handover 749Sep 29, 2015 10:48 am Finnerz74 Hi Deluded you are keeping us in suspense with no photos. The laundry can wait!!! Ha ha. HAHA that's funny because i'm living vicariously through you Finnerz as we're building the same house! @deluded I would also like to know your thoughts on the hebel floors now that you're in as we also paid the premium to have them installed. It is a vicious circle of dependence. I took some photos today and will be updating my blog tonight. Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - Handover 751Oct 01, 2015 10:23 pm ok ... been extremely busy and school holidays etc .. haven't really been able to do a lot firstly the questions: Hebel .. if you're walking normally and not jumping around it is pretty good .. but I would say much of a muchness if you're going to purposely jump and skip... sound wise it is pretty good but obviously if you're screaming anyone can hear. I actually hear more walking up and down the stairs than on the hebel equivalent. is it worth it? yes it is still worth it ... (it is really personal choice) Pax wardrobes haven't made a start on it at all .. the walk in robe area is not that big so placement is very important and it is something we keep changing. the fireplace is still a plus and with the void means upstairs get warm very quickly ... the front of the house stays cold because the heat is rising to the void and not really travelling through downstairs. having the fans does help though. We no longer turn it on as the weather is now getting warmer and will have to test the air con now. on with the pics (sorry not many) My front and side fencing is done! now to work on the colour .. we're thinking a 2 tone colour scheme utilising colours from the house standing on the laundry landing with a view facing the front and then facing the back overall after being in the house for 2 weeks (seems like forever) the build quality is excellent .... downside is the paint work it is starting to look more like a house with much of the boxes unpacked and things put away ... items outstanding right now is driveway and landscaping and to work out what I am suppose to sort out for OC Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - Handover 752Oct 02, 2015 12:09 am Thanks for the update deluded! The fencing looks great! Are you going to paint it yourself? Or get someone? That's how I felt about the Hebel when I was at Schofields in the CSR house, the stairs was the noisiest. Re: Alkira Homes "The Sienna" KDR Ryde (NSW) - Handover 753Oct 04, 2015 10:44 pm Great to hear you're in the house Deluded. Your fences look fantastic, any chance you can PM me the details. We've been in for 5 months now and still haven't completed our landscaping so I may still have time to make a change to the design.
