I don't get on here much anymore and I never did get to creating a landscape thread. Sadly I won't have time to detail or keep it up to date, so I'll just keep posting here. It's a shame because there aren't enough landscaping threads on here that follow an entire yard.

Totally understand, no pressure
Landscaping is a full time job, together with sorting out inside the house, then being a mum takes a lot of time! Posting photos from time to time is very much acceptable!
Nice plans and hooray indeed for the progress!
Can't wait to see it come together! We've got some grass.. That's it.. Getting there
Hooray for grass! We still don't have any. It's a pipe dream...

Thanks and it sure is. I'm also running a business from home now too. So everything takes ages! Doesn't help I skip all about the place on what I'm working on. Half way through sorting the hall way, I stop then do outside. Half way through outside I stop and do kids bedrooms...
A driveway and some landscaping started. The driveway still needs its dark seal painted on.

Thanks! Coloured concrete, hopefully when stained looks a bit darker to match the lights.

Started working out the steps. We know how to do it, just need the time to re-do/finish it.

Sleepers are in.
Whoops I meant 'decorative' stones. Probably the 5-8cm size ones, maybe a grey colour. That part is undecided.
I'd like to put a cottage style picket fence and a new letter box too one day.
Cat it looks totally amazing. Must feel good for that to do list to be getting shorter.
Thanks heaps Mim. Yeah so so good!
I thought I may mention an alternative for future reference.

Retaining Walls and Front Fences That Store Rain Water
All these lovely pictures above are actually retaining walls that store rain water, which may seem hard to believe - well its not and lots of people are using them already with stunning results.
These great Landscape Tanks are designed for use as structural retaining walls and front fences that store rain water and they can also be used for many other structures around the home. You can even have your front fence as your on site detention system if you like.
They are made from high grade concrete (50mpa) and provide a fantastic alternative to traditional retaining walls or front fences and are very cost effective.
The Landscape Tanks do not require any footings, are very easy to install and may be placed straight on a firm level base for great savings.
They are are pre-engineered (empty) for use as retaining walls, which means they are also ideal for other structures around your home, such as front fences, on site detention systems, pool or pergola surrounds, water tanks, fire fighting water tanks, and raised garden beds.
The planter top also has many other uses (apart from growing plants) including water features, outdoor kitchens, decking and even spectacular light shows all at the same time while still being used for your retaining wall or front fence.
The Landscape Tanks are all high quality and designed to last over 100+ years and they add that WOW factor to your home.
