Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1821Jun 01, 2015 11:02 pm Thanks everyone. Don't worry it's not the end of me yet. I still need to see how all of my posse are going with their builds. As for showers there are actually lots of options. I'm just silly in that I like having a shower before I get into bed. So work and the gym would be fine for the main shower. Just a quick cold one before I jump into bed. (Or sponge bath!) Congratulations for tomorrow!!! About the grout: what are you using to seal it? Do you just by it from bunnings? Will you seal in the shower and outside in the bathroom tiled areas? Sorry for the question bombardment never heard of sealing tiles before. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1825Jun 02, 2015 4:16 am Best wishes for the move and thanks for the heads up on the gas situation. I am installing LED strip lights under my overhead cupboards which I bought online. Those IKEA ones are neat Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1827Jun 02, 2015 7:06 am Building4my3tots OoooOooh so exciting!!! Congratulations for tomorrow!!! Sorry for the question bombardment never heard of sealing tiles before. I got lazy. I tried to ask a forum member who is Grout perfect but he never got back... So I just ended up at Bunnings or masters and bought a bottle of brush on stuff. Grout is porus so can look dirty over time... And I actually dislike grout because of this. So I'm meant to brush it on and wipe it off the tiles. Then leave it for 24 hours before I use it. I'll dig up the other forum thread... Here you go http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=75989 Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1828Jun 02, 2015 7:14 am shazaw Ikea lights, how many are you having. Yes they looks good. I should visit Ikea for storage solutions. I'll just put them on either side of the stove or along the length of the wall side. In hoping it will make the splashback less green! (As well as provide light!) I haven't bought mine yet and the brightness is a factor. Went to the home show and most of the led strips were disappointing. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1830Jun 02, 2015 7:38 am Today is the day! What Will the handover be done? Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1831Jun 02, 2015 7:50 am It's scheduled for 9am. Apparently we allow 1.5 hours for it according to the letter/final invoice. It won't be with our SS anymore which is a bit annoying. Probably because we are now low value to them Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1832Jun 02, 2015 7:58 am That's a shame I'm guessing you have paid your final invoice now so they don't care anymore. Are there any issues to be rectified or do you find out today? Are there any issues to be rectified or do you find out today? Everything in the report apparently has been fixed except for one thing which is not standard for Sekisui which we are fine with -something about silicon along the splashback. Apparently it's not even in the displays. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: handover June 2nd (tomorrow) 1835Jun 02, 2015 8:22 am PVBuild Good luck with handover Yvonneh! I hope it all goes smoothly.
