Definitely sounds like a good idea for that huge room of yours. We would have loved to have gotten away without any joins, but because we have a change of direction from our hall to the living room we had to have one joiner strip. Hope you manage to get your trench sorted out and get back on track with the rest of the build. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Almost there 1535Apr 27, 2015 5:36 pm @thebrolga it's not a competition but I'm certainly jealous of where you are at with your build!! Thanks for the reassurance that cutting the plasterboard is a good idea! Yeah a change in direction would need a joining strip. Saw yours and didn't really think anything of it (which is a good thing!) but did notice it. But also noticed the change in direction so it all made sense. Yeah waiting for the trench work to be done. It should be all done in time for the next storm Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Almost there 1536Apr 28, 2015 12:34 am That trench looks like hard work! Pepper is a great name, suits her Hope she's settling in well. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Almost there 1537Apr 28, 2015 7:33 am Thanks Trixee. Pepper is settling in I hope. Last night was a bit difficult but she eventually settled. Trench should finish up today. Finally! Managed to do the calculations for the floor. We need to have our first board as 90mm or so width to make it all work. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Almost there 1538Apr 28, 2015 8:38 am Cute puppy with a cute name. Was going to suggest Milo but I think Pepper suits her better Great news about the trench finally being completed today so you can hand the house back to SH. Do you have a date yet? Looking forward to seeing pics of your DIY floors. You should go on The Block! Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Almost there 1539Apr 28, 2015 8:42 am I suppose we need to get the services in before they can give us a date I'm seriously looking forward to seeing the floors. Because it means we'll have keys to the house and at least one of us will be 'moved in' to keep an eye on things. I'm a bit apprehensive the floors may be a bit 'much'! Ah well too late now!! We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37160 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 19114 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13450 |
