He was really pleased that we'd bothered to ask beforehand instead of planning out what we wanted and then getting narky because we weren't allowed to have it. At least we have a decent setback so we'll be able to widen the driveway enough to fit two cars in front of the garage as well as two inside (thinking ahead a few years when no doubt we'll start to resemble a car yard instead of a home!) While we were there, the fans and powerpoints were going in so we introduced ourselves and asked nicely if we could come in and have a look We forgot to bring a tape measure with us (the one that's normally in the car hadn't been put back last time - d'oh) to double check the measurements for blinds so we asked what time they were knocking off as we had a concretor coming at 4 pm to give us a quote. We were told 4 pm so I said not to worry about it as we didn't want to hold them up on a Friday afternoon. At 4pm we went back and the sparky as he was leaving said "I'll leave the front door open for you - it's not like you're going to leave it unlocked!" You catch more flies with honey than vinegar! So we have photos NOT taken through grotty windows! Boys' shower - really pleased with the feature tile in here Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom vanity. The basin looks REALLY wide here but it's only 3 cm wider than the one here where we're renting - I think it's because it's oblong rather than round. The matching toilet roll holders were still up and they're definitely wobbly and would likely eventually lose their grip on the plasterboard and just hang there pointing at the floor. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13450 |
