Building A New House
Jul 28, 2012 3:10 pm
We are building our forever home on our 810 square meter block in Perth with Rosmond Homes, my brother in law drew up the plans and despite some fun and games with the City of Stirling we are ready to build . Have a look at our plans and see what you think.
Thanks for looking
Update some better pictures of the plans 02/02/13

Looks Impressive with plenty of room for a man cave downstairs.
I notice you have an office and a computer room. We included a study in our last house where we planned to put the computer. Really it waste waste of money, both my DW and I use laptops on our knees in the family room

Yep can not wait to hit my man cave!
The computer room is glass on two sides and will be used for the kids computers and game cons. this way we can always keep an eye on what they are looking at. The office will house my computer and NAS to feed the other tv's in the home with media and alike

First of All Bradster I think the plans look awesome. Nice concept with the computer room being glass so you can keep an eye on what they're looking at and I like the fact the children have to walk all around the house to try and sneak out at night, makes it pretty difficult. By the looks of things the windows are too small to climb out of. This is what I call a good kid proof house.

Thank you AC27, we think very much the same. There will be no midnight sneak outs ,in this home! They are 9 and 12, so I hope it will all be worth it by the time these things enter their minds

We have brick work start for the under croft, Ya for us!
We got invited down to meet our SS and the brickie team. Really nice blokes and very helpfull. They put up a couple of rows of brick work showing the different mortar finishes for us to choose from, this was great as I was able to confirm I wanted flush joints. I can not believe how hard it is waiting for things to happen, I feel like a kid at Christmas

You're place is looking great - congrats on getting started. Had our block for 5 years and still don't have a plan!
New to the forum and considering building an undercroft for our next place. Would add a lot to the house since we should get some reviews but it's hard to know how much extra it will cost. Anyone got any suggestions on rough pricing? We would dig ours down about a metre so not all the way down - wide enough for 2 cars and 2 deep also hopefully. Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks very much enelya & marybond, the kids have suffered through us planning this home for over 2 years and for it finally starting to take from is very exciting for us all.
