Re: Our New House 14Jul 15, 2010 3:11 pm Concrete is cheaper?? Really? Darn it. My fingers and toes are crossed that its finalised ASAP! My fingers and toes are crossed that its finalised ASAP! I know! I was shocked too! We have asked for a quote to concrete all the way round the house out back. Fingers crossed the quote comes back reasonable. Had to have brickpaving on driveway though. Aggregate was not going to match existing aggregate path nicely and did not fancy paying to have front path ripped up. So just stuck with the pavers out front. So many more important things to spend money on at this point. Re: Our New House 16Jul 16, 2010 10:39 am Hi Luke Welcome to the forum! We are building with celebration homes too. We cant wait til our place is at bricking stage. Seems like it will never happen. We cant wait til our place is done. I was hoping we would have keys by xmas however my hopes for that are starting to fade. Oh well. Maybe a slab before the end of july would be nice! Hi Luke The builder has so far been fanastic! Nothing major to compain about...only thing was I wanted a niche in the shower and the living room and they said they dont do that! Other than that, if we build again(!!!), it would probably be with celeb homes again!!!! we have had some huge delays with the bricking though - almost 15 days lost now because of weather ..if they work for one more day, the bricking will probably be done - so just gotta wait and see! We were hoping for keys at end of october - but dont think thats gona happen But not really the builders fault - just bad weather!!! Looking forward to sharing our builds...are you doing the build yourself or with your family???
