1 square equals 100 square feet approximately 9.29 square meters I don't know why that link won't work, the page is there. Re: how do you convert?? 10Oct 05, 2009 9:08 am singlemum2daughters haha so true unfortunately i know my house is going to be small, i think my main reason for thinking this is A: i know and B: all these big beautiful houses people are building on here. anywho no need dwelling on it. I wouldn't worry too much about having a small house, just think of yourself as being eco-conscious But seriously, when it comes to building a house its what people can afford, what they need and what they want. Try not to feel like you're behind the pack, there are plenty of other people on the forums that have built or are building homes similar in size to yours and are quite happy for it! Ours is 281 sqm and it is too big for us, but for us, it's more of an investment, the 2 extra bedrooms we dont need are going to be perfect for someone else some day. Just as, some day all that extra space in our house is going to be WAY too much for us and we'll be looking to downsize to a 14.1 square house Re: how do you convert?? 11Oct 05, 2009 10:21 am singlemum2daughters (SM2D for short), I think your house is going to be lovely, did I read somewhere that you are liveing with your parents at the moment (or was that someone else on here?) anyway it will be wonderful for you to have your own space that you own (along with your partner the bank ). Be proud of your house and your acheivements - many houses built and bought on here are not super sized (mine included) Re: how do you convert?? 12Oct 05, 2009 12:20 pm Our first house was smaller than yours is going to be, and if you design it well then you can make the most of the space you have. The bonus of a smaller house is less cleaning, cheaper to run, environmentally less impact and having a brand new house (rather than a larger older house for example). Re: how do you convert?? 13Oct 05, 2009 1:57 pm Thankyou everyone for your kind comments, i am proud of my achievment, its enough space fo me and my two daughters... ed: thankyou for your intelligent imput, ive seen you on other threds, so im glad you came and done the working out for me ....i knew what i ment hehe D&SG: environmentally friendly, nice way too put it now i can use that excuse everytime hehe. As for your talk of investment, ive already made a substantial amount already in profit. I know this house might not suit me till the kids are teenagers but the main reason ive done what o have done is like you said buying what i can afford at this moment. Theres many people out there my age who dont have the luxury of building or buying all together, so thats a positive. Also as long as ive brought into realestate, im always going to make on it, i wanted to get in while the government was being so generous. Helyn: the nickname is fine, mch easier. Yes you are right...to an extent. I kinda live with my mum but not exactly at the moment i stay where i can, so ill be so glad when im in my own home, small or not. im proud no matter what, but i think everyone lives with the "awww what if" and thankyou again for you comments. igglepiggle: you are very right about the less cleaning!! theres something to look forward to. At the end of the day a house is a house, it just what you make of it and hopefully one day ill call it home. thankyou again everyone for your generous comments its nice to know theres people out there proud of there house no matter what. hopefully ill start my thred soon so then everyone can see what ive been pondering about. building heysen4e through SarahHomes at Milang IM THE PROUD OWNER OF DIRT house into council 22/08 Unconditionally approved 25/09 mortgage docs signed 29/09 land settled 09/10 land titled 22/10 start date about two weeks away!!! http://www.mymilangbuild.blogspot.com/ Re: how do you convert?? 14Oct 05, 2009 2:28 pm You will find this link easy to use, it converts everything. So applying it to this case you'd get: 'It's not the size of your house that matters, it's the way you furnish it!" Or something like that consider putting in wall WC instead of robe in the same bedroom, then it might be doable to hook up to the existing piping. 4 7269 Bought in Nov 21 at the height of the market (classic).
