KEYS ON 5/11 AT 1PM Re: Kara's house (WA) - flooring pics - paint colour advice 803Dec 29, 2010 2:43 pm Hey camy!! So sorry for such a delayed reply, I've barely been on. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. House is going well. I'm going to put lots of pics up around mid-end of Jan - by that stage we will have painting done, carpet in and timber floor sanded/glossed. Will be going to organise blinds sometime in January as well, I think the store we want to go through is closed until 10/01/11 though... damn! We are about to run out of our savings money, so everything else will be on hold! We have got air con, alarm, painting, timber floor, carpet, electrical (all lights/fans bought and installed), gate, shelving and doors out of our savings so far so we have done well!! We also got our fridge which is being delivered in January. Soooooo hope it is going to fit under the overhead cupboards above the fridge once the floor is sanded, we have only allowed about a 2mm gap but I had my heart set on this fridge and didn't want to change! The salesperson wrote on our receipt though that if it doesn't fit they will let us exchange it. Fingers crossed. We got the samsung side by side fridge that there was a popular thread on this forum about. On the 'one day' list is garden (front and back), gable pergola, kitchen splash back and overhead cupboards, leather couches...... ohhh the list goes on!! My mum and dad bought us our dining table for Christmas It also gets delivered in January! It's the one I posted a while ago on here: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We didn't get the chairs though, they were pricey and we noticed that the join in leather from the seat to the backing bit of leather ripped really easily - there were heaps of ripped ones for cheap at the Freedom excess store. We got chairs for $89 from Impressions that don't look as nice but I hope they look good with the table How is your house going camy?? I will go check out your thread soon Building with Ventura homes (WA) Building thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20516 Slab: 17/04/10, Bricking started: 12/05/10, Bricking finished: 2/06/10, Roof frame done: 11/06/10, Colorbond on: 14/07/10, Lock Up: 19/08/10, Cabinets: 25/08/10, Tiling done: 28/09/10, Electrical: 2/10/10, PCI: 29/10/10, Keys: 4/11/10 Re: Kara's house (WA) 804Dec 29, 2010 11:37 pm Wow Kara, you are zooming along, you atleast sound like you are getting things done. I found a brand that I liked that I thought looked nicer than others and I ended up going with that. I went to other stores with some cheaper prices but didn't like the carpet as much. Plus some of the carpet salesmen.... oh my god!! One of them said to us "I can only tell you the price if you are going to buy it today".... whattttttttttt!!! tinkster - Hello! The timber is 14mm blackbutt select grade. We got it from a timber floor place in osborne park (PM me if you want details) and my partner laid the floor. The floor sanded we used was a contact from the timber floor place.
