So excited! So close to lock up now! Almost all doors and windows in. Walls are done, shelf/rails, pantry and linen cupboard are in.
Lock-up should be tomorrow 
Lots of internal works and external works now completed, hopefully not long till PCI now.
Fascia completed and painted, front door painted and handles installed

Definitely get a building inspector, get one that is a registered builder, might cost a bit but we'll worth it Building with Ventura Homes - Como WAHi Dan,
The showroom was fine, nothing that stands out though. I would not base my decision on which builder to choose based on this element.

Fence is all completed but my neighbor has a zero lot wall I am waiting to be finished to put a side gate. Now we are unsure if we are moving in but that's a whole other… Building new house in Providence WellardOur house won't be ready until May/June but it's looking quite good so far. Yes we will have security screens, an alarm and hopefully a big dog and diligent/helpful… ceiling heightsI think high ceilings really make a house.
However, if your budget doesn't allow for 31 throughout, perhaps just have 31 (instead of 30) in your living areas and entrance,… Question: Slab down???@Ponzu-  80% of my pay goes to our savings before we started building and 20% is my shopping money. Thats why husband pays most of the bills.
