Are builders starting to come around to making the garage floor level with the house floor (ie no stepdown) ?
It looks like Livable (accessible) housing provisions in NCC are now favoring no stepdown

To my mind the fuel vapour argument was always pretty weak and now completely irrelevant to me as I have a battery lawnmower and drive an EV.
Water ingress is relevant but I will achieve a better outcome by raising the garage floor level to achieve greater fall out to the street. My plans currently indicate a 90mm stepdown and the builder is resisting removing the stepdown.
Has anybody else had similar discussions with their builder recently ?
