Ideally you have contrasting colours offset with some other detail like woods to soften the overall conrrast. Take a look at this as an example. Re: Fascade improvement suggestion. Please help. 4Dec 01, 2022 6:39 am In any case 2 colours max (though you can use 2 shades within the same pallete - like the two greys in the example) and wood will do the softening. Choosing the correct stain /wood colour is probably the most challenging aspect. Dark matter scientist, can breathe underwater, mind reader and can freeze matter just by willing it. The garage door and main door will draw eyes into it if it's a contrasting colour. Who are you building with? it looks like your ground floor isn't painted, is it going to be tiled with a contrasting tiles? if so, i would probably run those tiles all the way up around the central section, and maybe change the wall color of the recessed areas for a bit more contrast Re: Fascade improvement suggestion. Who are you building with? Hi there, thanks for your comment. we were hoping it would be ok but now feel a little detail somewhere in the fascade would be nice. We are doing a custom build. The garage would mostly be in black and entry door we are aiming for an natural stain finish. Re: Fascade improvement suggestion. We were aiming for only a little contrast. Your example is nice and we are wanting to see how we can add any wood elements or products to help with this. Any ideas? Please feel to critique and also welcome suggestions to improve this fascade/ Cheers Have you considered Dark Colors for the first floor (the ones above the garage) - it could help highlight the fascade. I would also encourage you to consider Large Glass windows for the Ground Floor & First Floor rooms, it could add in some character as well.. My build post here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=103852 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 7006 Hi, Looking to add an ensuite to one of the bedrooms and make it a Master BR.
