This is where it now finishes way better...even if you have to pay someone to extend it yourself we paid $74 p/m to get our fence installed so it wouldn't be that expensive Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Aveling build in Landsdale - shutters :) 803Mar 06, 2014 11:53 pm Re: Aveling build in Landsdale - shutters :) 804Mar 07, 2014 7:08 pm We've had a good look around the estate everyone's fence stops in line with the houses. This is most likely due to Corimbia trying to save money rather than peoples preference. When the fence is included and installed for you I guess most people just accept that this is where the fence stops. We had to pay for it ourselves therefore no one was there saying that we HAD to stop it at the house. I personally think they should have stopped all of the fences at the end of the retaining walls. Hopefully we don't get told we have to stop it at the house lol Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Aveling build in Landsdale - shutters :) 806Mar 07, 2014 8:17 pm Liney Truth be told you can fence right up to your surveyed boundary. I'm amazed that they don't go to the end of the retaining walls if anything it's actually dangerous stopping it short. We have a 1.2m retaining wall on the other side which means next door has a 1.2n drop to our driveway and ours isn't the biggest retaining wall in Corimbia But anyway hopefully you can get yours to stop where you want it to even if you have to pay a little bit to get it done. Love your front door Re: Aveling build in Landsdale - exposed aggregate <3 812Mar 09, 2014 10:25 am Aggregate looks great!! How much longer til you shift everything in? Or have you already started slowly moving stuff? On the fence topic, I agree it's most likely a cost cutting thing, but they also mentioned to us that it is shorter to encourage neighbours to talk to each other more As well as the 4.5m setback allowance, they thought it would bring a sense of community - I quite like the fact that when we're out front of our house we can have a chat to our neighbours without an ugly fence in between us. I guess it all depends on whether you've got nice neighbours or not though!! Plus our bedroom is at the back of the house so that's not a worry for us Re: Aveling build in Landsdale - exposed aggregate <3 813Mar 09, 2014 12:10 pm Thanks everyone Now that I've seen the fence IRL I actually don't mind it so much, the view from the corner window is quite nice right now mind you that's cos we're next to an empty block at the moment. If our future neighbours also have a corner window on that side, we will have a problem. But we won't worry about that now, too much to do already! Twiggens, we're moving next week, haven't moved anything yet. We've been living out of boxes last year, so packing is not going to be too difficult Really looking forward to it!
