My bathrooms are quite large and the floor isn't rectified and the showers are the normal tile. I didn't want white in there at all Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5883Oct 23, 2016 12:49 pm Tamara1975 Milestone I know that's what got us extras our bal rating $20000 and our slab $20000, electrical we got extra lights and pp put in original pricing and we still went over $3670 (we did have $3000 of that allowance in contract) extras for tiling I wet areas and grey grout $1150 and colour selections nearly $8000 that was a bitter pill to swallow also holy crap it adds up then lob a Inground tank septic and electrical and wouldn't you know it we are going to be living on rice I am worried about the cost! We went all out with electrical and a lot of was unnecessary. We are going to keep it basic so shouldn't cost too much more. The initial quote overestimated the slab etc and the soil tests came in better than we had been quoted. Hopefully we don't have any nasty surprises. There isn't much we want to upgrade at colour selections. Maybe just a waterfall shower head in the ensuite. And the carpet. that's good your soil came back good ours went down 6 meters so a lot of piering and slab upgraded. Also we keep electrician down heaps just the basics for us if you want to have a look on my thread we got clipsal to do led thought it would just be easier and cheaper in the long run Milestone coral homes modified stradebroke 32 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5884Oct 23, 2016 5:34 pm C U S T O M. I have be told before any Dulux colour can be done in any paint, but if the base paint isn't Dulux, all you're really getting is the other product in a dulux colour. C U S T O M. C O R A L. I also upgraded my architraves and doors to Aqua enamel Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ C U S T O M. C O R A L. Our wood work ,so architraves, skirtings and doors come with Dulux Aqua enamel but that was standard. They are thieving scumbags! I was worried about that happening when I opted for the Dulux upgrade - actually go back to page 172 of this thread . Our painters are meant to start this week so I better speak to my SS now. If they put something else on the walls I will be requesting a credit back for the upgrade.......my contract clearly says Dulux Wash and Wear 101. I'm not accepting anything else. I had another look this morning and all they have done so far is undercoat. From what I can tell, there is no wash n wear undercoat product so will have to wait and see whether final coats are wash n wear but I did email SS to ask him to confirm C U S T O M. C O R A L. It affects so many of us. Is the undercoat a Dulux product? The upgrade to the three coat Dulux wash and wear system is boloney otherwise. Which they shouldn't be using low sheen they should be using a wall board sealer. I'd be concerned that it's tinted as that is usually a shortcut to only do two coats of paint, instead of sealer and two coats of lowsheen. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5893Oct 24, 2016 6:05 pm Hi, can someone tell me how to attach a photo to this thread. I dont have any buttons to attach one and right clicking on the mouse does not have any options. Just want to upload a picture of our bricks. Where the bricks are at entry points they have had something sprayed on them and it has stained the bricks and the concrete and looks horrible. Have asked the SS what it is, but so far no answer. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this done. thanks Re: Coral Homes general build thread 5894Oct 24, 2016 6:12 pm still waiting Hi, can someone tell me how to attach a photo to this thread. Has anyone had them done through Coral? What I am wanting to know if whether there are any in their range that don't cost extra for laying. I know rectified edge is extra. Is there anything else I need to look out for? Can you please post a pic of your timber look tiles if you got them through coral. Also they are doing our carpet. I had a quick look at the range when we went through the showroom on the GC, but didn't take much notice at the time. Does anyone know if we can see the range elsewhere? I can't remember whether it is carpet call or carpet court that does it. I am sure we will end up upgrading.the carpet. Thank you These are our timber looks tiles (300x600) sorry for photos, didn't really have many of just floors but can get more. When you use the quote option, you always see the "upload photo" option at the bottom... But when you type a generic response, notice "full editor" option right next to the submit button..click it and you will get the option to upload photos...
