I have read lot of discouraging reviews about Henley online so want to know what your experience has been so far? Other users can feel free to provide feedback. Thanks Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 564Mar 15, 2016 7:37 am Thanks Kelgo. Nitin - welcome to the forum. The thing you need to consider with reviews, people who have had bad experiences are usually the only ones to leave reviews. Both my neighbours have Henley homes, my aunt and my best mate also built with Henley. All theirs, plus ours have all been great experiences! I'd build with them in an instant. There's been minor hiccups, but you expect that. All issues are resolved pretty quickly. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 565Mar 15, 2016 8:00 am Thanks Snyde. Henley's Electra design is something we are interested in but there is no display so but hard to imagine how it will turn up. Did you got your flooring done by Henley or you went outside ? Would you also recommend having building inspector? Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 566Mar 15, 2016 8:07 am That does make it hard. Millie may be able to give you better insights on the Electra. We're doing our flooring after handover. That way we can do what ever flooring we want, and don't have to have quads. I'd def have a building inspector, at least for the final inspection. Most people do pre-pour, frame and final inspection, some also do pre-plaster inspection. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 567Mar 15, 2016 10:33 am Hi Nitin, We have built with another builder previously, and had so much trouble. So far my experience with Henley has been fantastic. Far exceeded expectations, and minor issues have been resolved professionally. We engaged a private building inspector to inspect pre slab, and frame so far. Well worth the investment when spending so much on a house. No major issues identified, but the peace of mind is worth it. The Electra was a leap of faith for us, not being able to see the display, but so far, really happy. The lay out and design worked well for us. I'm happy if you want to message me, and I can send you pics, or maybe even show you our place (if it helps). It's fully framed and roofed, so gives you a pretty good idea of the house. Sorry Snyde to jump on your post..... Your place is looking awesome!! Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 568Mar 16, 2016 12:04 pm Ha, no worries Millie. Little update (pics later). It's been all hands on deck, ducts, alarms, vac points, mirrors, door handles, intercom, main garage door, rear roller door, eaves, cladding - external paint on eaves etc have all been done in the last few days. Absolutely loving seeing our choices come together! On a not so exciting note - our build's going to be pushed out at least two weeks. We discovered a mistake with the facade. They've bricked all the way to the top of the garage - it's supposed to be capped with flashing with a cement sheet going right across the top under the eave, giving the appearance that the roof is lifted off the garage. kind of like the porch where the cladding is. Had the option of having an additional blueboard added and rendered where the garage infill is making it 'look' like it's got a brick infill, and an upgrade to appliances if we wanted the easy way out. Though paying as much as we did for the facade, opted to have them fix it. So down comes some bricks on the garage, the eaves, cement sheeting and bracing needs to go up, re-brick, re-render, re-paint, cap the top of the bricks with the flashing and reinstall the eaves. Just glad our SS has been really good and been on our side. Hasn't had about issues with fixing it for us. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 569Mar 16, 2016 12:21 pm great to see everything moving along. Dont keep us waiting mate upload the pics Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 570Mar 17, 2016 8:00 am Alfresco almost done Main bathroom mirror (room looks dark, bad lighting) Ducted vac points Ensuite mirror (also a really dark photo) Our handle choices, nice and chunky! Intercom is in Powder room mirror Rear roller Towel rail Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 574Mar 17, 2016 12:44 pm its good to know how quickly you are moving, especially because we are only a couple of weeks behind. We've just about finished painting, tiling and fit off's coming just after easter I think. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 575Mar 17, 2016 1:08 pm You'll get quiet days, then suddenly there'll be 6 - 8 tradies doing multiple things in a day. It's crazy how quick they can move sometimes! The rest won't take too long. You'll probably catch up to us. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 576Mar 17, 2016 4:10 pm Just caught up with your build Snyde. Glad to hear they are fixing the facade without a fuss....it's their mistake after all!! Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 577Mar 17, 2016 4:16 pm Thanks Saint. Our SS is really good. He was pushing for the easier option, but understood 100% that we have the right to get what we paid for. We've had such good luck with supervisors. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 578Mar 19, 2016 11:14 pm snyde Thanks Prats. We have single phase - we don't have anything that'd require a 3-phase. If you're having anything like refrigerated cooling though you'd need it. Hi Jay & Lisa, Do you have ducted aircon & electric hot water. When our total load was calculated we were told it is 85Amp which is more than single phase supply. We have 16kw ducted aircon & solar electric boosted hot water. Thanks! Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 579Mar 20, 2016 8:26 am Na no ducted aircon, that'd be the same as refrigerated cooling wouldn't it? We just have ducted heating and instantaneous hot water, which is electric. We're putting in split systems later but they shouldn't need 3 phase Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Benchtops, rendering... 580Mar 20, 2016 10:03 pm Hey Snyde loving your build so far everything looks so well done it's nice to see such quality work from Henley do you know how much your ducted vacuum was? My parents have it in their house and it is awesome! Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond.
