Checked with TPG and they told me that it can be connected. Just in time as we are going to move into our house in the next week or two. In case if anyone wants to check their address for NBN: http://www.nbnco.com.au/connect-home-or ... dress.html Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 502Feb 06, 2015 4:14 pm EugeneD Just wanted to share that NBN is ready for service for stage 10 at last. In case if anyone wants to check their address for NBN: http://www.nbnco.com.au/connect-home-or ... dress.html Congrats Eugene. I checked my area last month as address is still not available for Stage 12 and it said in progress. Out building progress is still there even after 1.5 months of registration. Waiting for final plans from the builder. We are going for PGH Sorbetto ( grey brick). Has anyone used it and have any issues? The brick is painted grey on outside and is red inside. But looks great. We shortlisted that brick for our build. Then, by chance, we went to a display home that was built with Sorbetto. A lot of the bricks around the entrance had been chipped (either in bricklaying or after), therefore exposing the internal brick colour. Don't forget all window sill bricks are laid sideways too, also exposing the internal brick colour. We ended up picking an upgraded brick that is the same colour, internal and external. No paint. Hi Gaggy, Its not recommended to use brick with different colors because if it chips (and it does chip) during build or acid cleaning or later when anything hits it, the internal color will appear. I am not sure if you builder gives you the luxury to select from different brick providers (I remember some builders such as Rawson does), but Austral has a grey color of the basic range called Orpheus from the Whitsunday range which is grey outside & inside. They also has nice upgrades that cost $2000 for a double storey and less for single storey. Good luck in your brick selection Cheers Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 505Feb 06, 2015 10:20 pm Thanks J&J and Askanaan. I asked for Ultra smooth finish Austral same colour and that is 8.8k Extra. Have been to Boral and could not find anything similar. Austral have similar to Sorbetto called Metallix. that is also 4k expensive. I have seen some PHG sorbetto ones, few of them look reddish, but I have heard can be painted back. PGH one is only 2.2k extra from the standard. I am making a single story house. 8k extra will increase my budget as I am getting lot of other upgrades. Also I had this thread ( a bit old) where they say this range also has the colour painted over it. Are you sure they are same colour in and out. Same colour bricks are natural colour and grey ones are super expensive. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=42280 Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 507Feb 07, 2015 5:35 am Gaggy askanaan Gaggy We are going for PGH Sorbetto ( grey brick). You need to visit the austral yard and pick a sample. It's painted too, all dark colors including the super expensive ones are painted as they are not natural. But for the orpheus the inside is dark too rather than red. This has been changed lately as Austral sales people said. So if it chips it won't be much of a problem. I went with this one after some search. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 509Feb 07, 2015 10:01 am askanaan Thanks. Grey is a little dark for our liking. Sorbetto colour inside is like that as well. Will see if we should go for Austral Ultra Smooth. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 510Feb 08, 2015 9:55 am HKADH Do you guys have any idea about tage 13 registration?? Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 512Feb 09, 2015 12:50 pm Hello, I had a very bumpy settlement with my conveyancer (conveyancing corp), however, after the land was settled, has anybody verified that the title was successfully transferred ? Is a title search enough for that? Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 513Feb 09, 2015 2:38 pm askanaan Hello, I had a very bumpy settlement with my conveyancer (conveyancing corp), however, after the land was settled, has anybody verified that the title was successfully transferred ? Is a title search enough for that? Hi Askanaan, Sorry to hear that. You will receive the documents from your conveyancer regarding the settlement. As the original ones will be with the bank. What issues you had with them? My solicitor also created issues by giving me the wrong final figures for making the cheque. He reluctantly accepted his fault. Luckily settlement was done. But I am still waiting for my documents. Will see if I can find the link J&J shared the land titles link earlier where we can check that I suppose, but not sure. Honestly before starting the conveyancing job, I bought a DIY conveyancing kit and was planning to do it myself as I don't usually trust "Professionals" who do routine jobs, then for some reason I said I will give it to a pro I asked conveyancer to copy me in all correspondences, but they ignored this request and kept me in the dark. After matter settled, I found two extra cheques disbursed from my account without my authorization. When I approached the conveyancer to refund the amounts, they threatened to send me more invoices of "Urgent" matter treatment. My matter was not urgent, the conveyancer was given around 25 days notice before settlement.
