Love your selections Mel Re: Building Wizards castle - PD Francis 29 – End in sight 505Nov 05, 2010 10:41 am There have been a number of little things going on at our house this week, firstly, our temporary fencing is gone, our windows have been cleaned and fly screens installed. The painters have been back and have finally started the outside, not sure when it will all be finished but they are there now. The shower screen for the ensuite has been delivered but not installed, all door handles and locks installed (with the wrong handle on our pantry doors, CSA is organising them to be replaced) and brick expansion joints have been filled. However the biggest news is we have booked in our PCI for November 16 (ELEVEN MORE DAYS, not that I’m counting). Our CSA has told us that he is busy organising all the little defects to be fixed so that by the time we do our PCI there is nothing else to be done, fingers crossed this is the case and that way we can get the keys not too long after that. In other news, we have booked our removalists (to move the big bulky stuff, we will do the rest ourselves), we have a date that we will be handing back the keys to our beloved (NOT) rental and we are in the middle of getting quotes for curtains and the side fence. We have also organised for utilities to be connected at the new house and disconnected at the rental. This last week has been extremely hectic trying to get everything organised, but I think we have everything under control and ready for the move. Here are a few photos for your viewing pleasure. I have to say that after reading so many hell stories on here about reps, I am glad ours has been good to us, we have been able to contact him easily and he has been very willing to discuss anything. Looking great!! So exciting! Oh...fyi... we just did the same as you, moved most things ourselves and left the bulky stuff for the removalists... was more trouble than it was worth. Should have just had the removalist do it all. You guys must be so excited. Your place looks wonderful Thanks, yeah we are excited, not as much as we probably should be, there are still some issues that need addressing but we are hoping that they will all be rectified by PCI Raleighfarm Hope you are as excited and the "flat and over-it-all" feelings are long gone. Found some more issues , mostly to do with the exterior painting and staining of doors, the painters are back there today so I will wait to see if they fix any of it today, otherwise I will be making another one of ‘those’ phone calls to our CSC on Monday. So that ‘feeling’ has not completely gone yet.
