I love your floorplanand the colours are fab! But oh my goodness how disgusting are those tradies? I don't understand why, it can't be anything personal, they don't know u from Adam! So it's just laziness, but are they not embarrassed in front of their mates, or maybe it gives them brownie points (oh Gawd, no pun intended there lol) Re: Our Oxford 28 with Cl@rndn - Vic - Oh, what a poo! 263Apr 26, 2011 6:41 pm Pos Hi av, I've read your thread from page 1! Looks like its been quite for a while. I hear a lot of changes have been going on at Clarendon HQ. Lots of restructures. My CSC has now moved to construction. Got a call yesterday from a new CSC telling me she is taking over. Good luck with your build. Good luck with your build. Cheers Hey Rajan! Yes, we lost our area manager and have a new one, whom I've not meet but heard is a nice guy. My CSC told me big changes, too. Will have to have a stick on your page to see how you're going too!! So I've been lurking and not posting much - rather low spirits due to our 9 week hiatis. I am happy to announce the ball has started rolling again, this week we've been wrapped & bricked! Yehar! And, since I myself as a confessed pic piggie has been very slack on the pic posting, here's a few updates on how everything is looking! We've been roofed and wrapped, and now bricked! We are about 1/2 way thru bricking I think. Some of the blending is a bit crap - your opinions are welcome.... am I being too precious?? Snuck in and laid some extra cat5e for a video intercom between upstairs and downstairs last night... exciting ;o) Front of house Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Garage Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Timber sliders of the BBQ area Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Back of house Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Perfect example of why we chose Austra La Trobe, i love them! You pay a lot of $ for a house to be built and it needs to be right. The blending is less than ordinary. Did you ask your SS what happened there?how come that difference in the bricks? he might have a better answer and maybe would be able to confirm it will look all good when the mortar dries up. amazing_venice Snuck in and laid some extra cat5e for a video intercom between upstairs and downstairs last night... exciting ;o) Was this ok with your SS? or he doesn't know yet? I am planning to do this as well once the build starts, just not sure whether need to inform and get an OK from SS before sneaking in and laying the wires. We've been plastered! Yehar! A team of 6 lovely chaps completed it in TWO days! So super fast! Hi Katman, nice to meet you. The cables were for a video intercom system, from the front door to the kitchen & upstairs. Cat5 has 4 pairs of wires inside, so we went with this as we didn't know what system we wanted (most are a 2, 4 or 6 wire system). Pic overload of plaster (only had my phone camera) ;o) Kids Bathroom, complete with city view, LOL. Long time no speak I know! Your bricks look great, I love Austral Latrobe lots and lots. The blending is OK, but they could have done a better job I know what you mean. I have noticed that our brickies tended to do a better job on blending at the front of the house, but on the bits where they thought no-one would notice (i.e around the back of the garage and the alfreso area) they didn't bother to blend as well. Pretty darn lazy if you ask me. I'm jealous you have plaster! Our bricks went up within 2 weeks, but since then everything has been at a standstill. I know we have had a few wet days, but come on the house is basically at lockup, therefore the weather shouldn't really be an issue! You sound as if you have been VERY patient with Cl*rendon, I don't think I would have been as nice. You just want to see progress, there is nothing worse than visiting your house every weekend and seeing that nothing has been done. Very frustrating. I hope everything keeps happening for you Re: Our Oxford 28 with Cl@rndn - Vic - Plastered & MOR Pics! 278May 19, 2011 10:57 pm Looking good AV! Your catching up! YAY! Your catching up! YAY! Thanks Bel!! Catching up a little every day. Think they also need to get a move on because they can't claim the the next progress payment without the bricks being finished. I hope everything keeps happening for you MY LITTLE HOUSEMOUSE!!! How are you! You need to start a thread so I can follow your build!! How is everything going with the new addition? I hope your build starts to improve some too, it's the most disheartening thing going back week after week with no progress. We have been given notice on our rental (i know, pain in the rear end), they are being really flexible with us, so Clarendon are trying very hard to push the build through faster. We've been given and indicative move in date of the 15th July. This week we've had the cornices done too, Scaffolding is going back up today for the brickies to finish, and to line the eaves. Kitchen is going in on Wednesday, then the stairs. boiselfish Looking great, more homey every day! It was so fun to walk around the house when it was plastered. Im sure your loving it! Well, I have a few little updates! Plastering is complete, brickies are back and will hopefully be finished by friday. Joinery guy has been - so the kitchen/powder/laundry is in. Stairs weren't finished when he came, so he'll be back next week to install the bathroom and ensuite. Finishing carpenter has been to do the architraves ect.
