Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks to my wife and son for those. The SS told me they prefer to get the rest of the top floor cladding on before putting the rest of the roof on so that they don't walk all over the roof tiles and break them. So the top roof goes on (check!), the battens for the ground floor roof (still to come) and then the cladding and renderers for the top floor before the rest of the roof is finished. Great to see progress, bit by bit. Prep for more tiles I think but they haven't been back to do it. Dandav, Yes been in since 1st week of June. It's awesome living in our new home. The building noise hasn't been as bad as I thought though it would be nice when the dust settles. At the moment, there's no point washing my car! Mainly because our garage is still scattered with unopened boxes. Overall, it's certainly been worth the wait! http://glenn-and-denhs-tribeca.blogspot.com/ Handover: Thurs 9th June!!! Yeah.. right... Your landscaping looks fantastic, though!! Love the little putting green at the top level. Is that Glen's or yours?? Appears to be putting up something in the walls. Landscaping really taking shape and we're loving it. The putting green ha!, is actually an area that could be enclosed when the girls play outside and I need to be in the kitchen or something. The 2yo still too young to be left alone with the labs. We could have flattened but apart from the excavation costs we save by not doing so, we also like the idea of another level to the garden. You'll have to pop in next weekend if we're home.... as long as you don't mind the perpetual mess! http://glenn-and-denhs-tribeca.blogspot.com/ Handover: Thurs 9th June!!! In lieu of colourbond, which for some really strange reason is more expensive than roof tiles over here, we tried for the flattest profile we could get. Colour is Sambuca!! (fancy for Black, I think... Denh, Keep a look out for guys putting in the bay window and cladding the top floor this week. The SS tells me that they will do it from tomorrow onwards.... I'll believe it when I see it, especially with the bad weather we're expecting all week... They also want to put in the front door frame - we saw it there on Saturday. It looks great with the frosted toplight window in it. He tells me they were there wrapping the top floor yesterday so I guess that's what you saw. We'd love to drop in next weekend, if you're home. Mess certainly doesn't worry us... We outgrew our current house some years ago so we've been putting up with stuff around the house for ages!!
