Damn i just lost all my post. Grrrr
Lucky there is good drainage. Im glad it wont hold you up much.
Our admin guy thinks it should be in council by next week. Im not holding my breath tho. Hopefully the rain will stop for all our sakes and we have a dry winter.

I have 3 kiddies my boy is my oldest at 11, then i have 2 daughters 6 and 8. My boy absolutely loves vechicles all shapes and sizes. used to love watching him play with his diggers so cute.

It's so frustrating when that happens.

I'm hoping it doesn't hold us up, crossing everything I own.

Oh wow that's great news your heading to council, I hope they are quick for your sake. Winter is the best time to build up here nice and dry (generally, oh god I won't jinx us I promise).

Oh nice you have 3 kiddies, boys are great fun, our 3 year old is the same completely obsessed with everything machinery. We have 2 girls and 3 boys. Hope your kiddies are looking forward to the move its a beautiful place for them to grow up.

Good to know re weather.
Yeah they are mostly excited about moving but also nervous and sad to leave their friends. I think they will be more excited once they see some progress with the house. I honestly cant wait to move there hopefully a good lifestyle choice.

Weather is stunning now, you would never guess we got soaked and blown to pieces yesterday.

It would be a little daunting for them leaving everything they know, but they will make great new friends and the life style is brilliant, if your boy likes the water he will be a grom in no time. The people are friendly and it's super laid back.

We have done a little shopping for the house and purchased the following tapware.

Oiled bronze/black sink mixer for the kitchen

Bathroom sink mixers.

Yep nice taps Tribe and a bit different, quite like different :-)

Builder thinks we can wait another 4 weeks, he wants us there when frame complete and roof on so we get a good feel for the place but could still make some changes if we need. Looking forward to seeing that slab!!

If I didn't already have a pull out tap that we're waiting to put in... ah well...

Thanks traceywayne, that's a good plan from your builder, least you can gage exactly how everything fits and what could need some adjustments. Kind of exciting you get a little holiday.

Oh thanks yvonneh, I was after something a little different. Ohh nice you have the pull out tap I wanted one of those but uhm and argh because the kids could cause havoc with it.

I had a quick look at your thread and it's huge!!! Bugger about the services channel, your so close to being finished now. Great looking house you have

Finally some action yay. It's rare that the kids all sit quietly together

. My friend has a pull out tap and she said the same thing it drives her insane as the kids make a huge mess with it. Hope you have had some progress with the deck through council.

What did you do with the builders taps?
Did they remove them from the price or are you changing them after handover?
Never really thought about that with our taps.

Thanks matey, oh don't even get me started on the tapware the standard inclusion ones are horrible to say the least. The shower fittings yuk too, we have purchased all new tapware and shower fittings, everything will be hand to the plumber to install instead of the standard ones. We couldn't take them out of the contract and the upgrade prices where big bickies, this was the best option for us.
I think the Clarendon sapphire inclusion level has really nice taps and sinks.

Thats good to hear that weather has improved. Now the weather gods need to keep looking after us.

My son loves the water he cant wait to learn to surf. He couldn't believe that part of the local high schools sport program they could go surfing and during school hours. Im totes after laid back lifestyle everyone is so rushed and up tight down here in melbs.

That's a pretty cool class to have, nothing like going for a surf in school time. Wow that's a massive sea change from melb to northern nsw, have you guys spent much time up here?

We holiday on the goldy. Been to Casuarina a few times now. But def a big move. I have always wanted to bring my kids up coastal but the coast down here is cold for 3/4 of the year. So i was looking for land around where i live now and my hubby found on the developers website some land for sale in casuarina and after some deliberation we bit the bullet and here we are. Eeek. No family no friends nearby, all live in Melbourne. So I keep telling my kids think of it as an adventure. Hopefully a good one.
