We were hoping to put in the back lawn this week but time has gotten away from us so we only got to do the retic Hopefully in 2 weeks we will have a lovely back lawn. Re: and so it begins... 162Oct 05, 2012 7:27 am Kerry-Ann was right. It's like being in a lolly shop going to see the house. Something different happening all the time. Yesterday I went up to sort out the retic (3rd time lucky) and the painter was there. It looks so pretty with the white ceilings. He mentioned what I already knew- our verandah beams aren't stain grade so now they will be painted. No biggy really. The tiles were bing delivered. Painted ceilings makes everything start coming together, wait for the walls coz it starts to look beaudiful too ![]() I'm heading back out this morning, busting to see the garage door down so i hope it is. We seems to have alot of little things still to be done,no shelving in WIL,none to WIP yet,no door handles to house doors & still some plumbing ![]() The bricky was there yesterday putting in extra weeper holes,i think it maybe because i said that they should not be covered, the paving will partially cover them. Unsure if this is a good thing or not,but it will be looked at when the final inspection is done. Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! I came across you mentioning a couple of times in your thread but have no idea. With our WIR its not the bedroom door you see, we added a door on it. We put a door on the Ensuite too. Im glad too as this rental doesn't have one and our little man loves getting bottles of stuff and pouring them down the sink. It was devastating whilst having a shower watching him pour a mini bottle of Dior perfume down the sink (it did make the bathroom smell very pretty though). Re: and so it begins... 165Oct 05, 2012 3:51 pm I jut googled them. I wondered why they had those gaps in the brickwork. There you go. I learnt something today. Thanks KA! Re: and so it begins... 166Oct 05, 2012 5:52 pm Happy to share what i DO KNOW! We closed the doorway abit on the ensuite, cant remember why atm,oh i do,to give us room for the towel rail, yep thats it. I was a bit nervous about it but it's looking really good. I was also worried about the colour being too brownish but it's nice and light and bright. The laundry top I'm not so sure on but I'll leave judgement until its all done. I just hope now it goes with the stone tops. I am so happy with this bit as it took a bit of planning and guesswork because we got rid of he wall oven but still wanted the microwave recess. We wanted it at the same sort of height but didn't want it looking lop sided, so the result was a shelf for my cookbooks on the other side. I'm loving it. I am so over it. We've just been there and nothing. All that has been done in 11 days is the cupboards. Plus our SS is on holidays and our clo has left. Waiting for a call from our new one. Not only that but someone has pinched the chain mesh we had left to finish the bit we left open for the workers access. Not at all happy jan. I just spoke with her. I am so angry. Apparently they measure the stone so it's a 2-3 week wait. So nothing can be done for another 2 weeks. I don't think any of them know what the hell is going on because B sent me an email saying the tiler would be starting last Tuesday. How could they when the cupboards went in that day and the benches would be 2-3 weeks away? I don't get it anyway. The cupboards were per fab but they can't figure out the measurement of the bench? It all sounds like bullsh*t to me. My opinion of Ventura is back to where it was 6 months ago. They are crap. The tiler has prepped to start laying the tiles and we meet mon. The electrician is goin in thurs and the verandahs etc have been preped for pavers which are sitting there ready to go. Plus the garage has a floor now. After speaking with our clo it looks liked we are on track for mid December completion. Fingers crossed. I am really happy with the colour. I wanted a look that won't go out of fashion but I said to DH it is a lot of cream.
