The colours look so great with the surrounds. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Halls Head Beach House 104Jun 11, 2014 11:39 pm I clearly haven't been smart enough to conceal our location! The football posts and cricket back net have been ordered and the park might get a few extra mows and maintenance once we move in. Maybe space for a 'community' vege garden too!! Thanks for comments everyone. Hopefully the final render, door colour and landscaping finish it off well. Still no kitchen cupboards installed but our kitchen 'splashback' is in: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Re: Halls Head Beach House 105Jun 16, 2014 12:04 am The latest update... Progress on upper and lower floor and outdoor ceilings including our stair void. This is effectively a two storey internal wall with windows at either end to let light into centre of the house. Can't get a photo to describe it but will need some feature on it. And our kitchen has started. It's great to get some perspective on space and colour. Re: Halls Head Beach House 108Jun 26, 2014 10:47 pm Had a good week of progress, but not a lot of photos to share. The render at the front has commenced so the colours are taking shape. Stairs have gone in so it was a chance for more of the family to see what's be going on up there. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And although the space has been there since the brickwork, it was good to see how much storage space we will have under the stairs Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ All timber work in pantry, linen, waredrobes and half walls completed, garage grano completed, tiling started and benchtops in kitchen installed (after we were inside so no photos). Also had blinds measured so they can be ordered, and we will check out shutters on the weekend. Time to start getting some soakwells and PVC pipe installed before paving starts. My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Re: Halls Head Beach House 109Jun 27, 2014 12:04 am Render looks great. Your stairs are exactly the same as ours except a bit cleaner. The space under the stairs is huge, isn't it? Craig asked if we wanted the lower part of the stairs 'boxing off' but it's far too useful to waste. We've had a bit done this week but not as much as you and we're still waiting for the roof to be finished. Re: Halls Head Beach House 110Jun 27, 2014 12:12 am Looking great! Look forward to more pics Store under the stairs is a great amount of space! Would be crazy not to put that in. But it can go in garage so all works out... Lack of photos due to lack of access or not being clear enough (through windows). Thanks all for interest. Excitment levels increasing with the move but still need to be patient! You must be so pleased. Is that Wet Area Plasterboard in your alfresco? or standard ceiling board? The scheduling seems to be different as our ceilings have started to be painted. Which is a bit weird because they've not been fixed yet. Re: Halls Head Beach House 119Jun 29, 2014 11:47 pm oncewerefurriers Facade looks lovely. You must be so pleased. Is that Wet Area Plasterboard in your alfresco? or standard ceiling board? . Really happy with the front elevation. I can only assume that it's WAP. Unlike the standard ceiling plasterboard it was delivered in big black plastic as were the cornices. I will ask the question though.
