After Easter we are off and running with the contructions. : We now have a slab date and frame date so very much excited, and least I know not to bother to drive past the block till after easter.. It feels it has been a bit of a long struggle to get this far... fingers crossed for smooth construction and good weather... I'll will try and post our lolours for our clifton/cabrita fronted home. We have gone with a expresso brick so a little worried how it will come out...but alot of rendering at the front.. All DH can say 'its to late now, so don't worry about it'.......does not help... How did or has everyone found the admin side ??? just curious..... Re: Our Benham 33 journey 95Apr 04, 2012 4:10 pm Tarsha - Colours look fantastic!! Our electrical consultation is on the 24th of April, was a week earlier, but I am away at a work conference then Have found admin to be good, I have kept a copy of every email I've sent and received, which has been handy. I can't comment on speed, as we started the tender in August, we were slow to start, because our land isnt registered yet, so we're not high up on the priority list, there is only so much we can do. We've kept every email we've sent although we haven't sent many... Our CSO has replied in a timely manner and has answered all our queries. Hopefully the level of service we've been receiving stays the same! Sales rep we dealt with at the display home was amazing. Very helpful, polite and informative. Couldn't say a negative thing about him really. Re: Our Benham 33 journey 97Apr 10, 2012 11:42 am Hi everyone Hope everyone had a good break. Thought i'd post to bump this thread back up. We went to Tile Direct on Saturday after calling earlier in the week to confirm that they would be open. After a 45 minute drive we arrived to find that they were closed. Not very happy Lucky there was a Bunnings down the road... I'd like to ask everyone how many litres is there rain water tank? Ours will be 3500. Is this a good size or should we be upgrading to a larger one? Re: Our Benham 33 journey 98Apr 10, 2012 12:26 pm Sixor - What a shame about TD being closed. We have a 3500L tank also, we're pretty sure it'll be adequate for us, we don't intend on having a garden that requires too much watering. We are still working through our building contract, we've been stalled a bit with a variation to our facade that we weren't happy with, it was going to see our front door being open to the elements, but they've managed to work something out, and we'll be happy with the changes now!! Our land should settle in the next 4-5 weeks so that's something to look forward to! Next Monday I'll have some good news (I hope). I'm really keen to see how we can lay the slab on our sloping block - and the site costs associated with getting what we want! Re: Our Benham 33 journey 100Apr 10, 2012 5:06 pm Hi guys hope Easter was good for everyone and hope u all ate as much chocolate as me I have so far found the admin side to be pretty good. With hubby in WA it's a bit hard to get things signed etc and they have been great and even made sure we had plans in time so hubby could check them with me etc. theyve also been great with not rushing us (we are happy for the build to take as long as they like lol get more paid off the mortgage) Sixor that's crap about TD id be complaining.. I don't think we get a water tank because our estate runs on recycled water so we get a box of some sort that hears it.. Can't help there sorry Smorgzzz what was the variation? How exciting about the land! :) Thanks for the colour feedback too everyone. Hopefully by the end of this week I have some final plans to share!
