You must be at least 3 weeks ahead of us! I'd be surprised if you aren't done by April. If our ss thinks we will be in April I don't see how you would miss that. Or our ss is telling porkies. Can't believe how quickly things have happened for you this year. Crazy crazy fast! Re: Our Madison 39 by clarendon 313Feb 21, 2016 6:41 am bmitchel Looking great minandb. I think in theory we could guess mid-April, but I don't want to do handover till everything is right, so I'm allowing another two weeks until the end of April. If it's earlier it's a bonus then! Timeframes a bit different from our salesman who said 24-26 weeks and our first SS who said 5 months, but we'll get there in the end. It was just interesting you said.. 8 weeks after the kitchen is in. Our kitchen isn't due to go in until 7 March, so that would push us into May, which is fine. Our SS at this stage is still maintaining around Mid April however and plasterboard doesn't finish until the end of this coming week so will be interesting to see if they hit that. Going by when your slab went down, we were about 6-7 weeks behind you then (our slab poured on 4/11). So you had a bit of a hiccup there for a while on various things, but at least for the moment, it seems they are powering ahead with inside. Your SS seems to have more trades at once doing stuff with tigher deadlines for the tradies. Ours seems to just do things in a rather linear fashion. Either way, they are getting the job done. Our CM and SS won't give us a date, just said as a guide about 8 weeks after kitchen. Painter isn't booked until mid-March when we last heard. So there are a few weeks for things to get finished like the theatre Windows, bathroom cornice, sound insulation, kitchen cabinet replaced, etc. if the get fixed then hopefully the painter will finish, electrician will follow and then maybe handover. I can't really remember paying a levy. I think we paid for a demolition approval, maybe an extra fee for our relaxations, I'm not sure what else. Thanks MinandB. I did some more research and the levy is only for dual occupancy homes so we don't have to pay it. Worked out to be $1450 each person! Your house looks awesome and we also picked the honeycomb tiles for our splashback surrounding our window splashback. is your splash back a standard size or you got it extended? Im so happy for you that things are moving along nicely now with all the hiccups you have experienced. Re: Our Madison 39 by clarendon 318Feb 23, 2016 10:21 am Loving all your tiling choices!!!!
