Good luck BJA! Hope they come through for you! We're only four weeks past the date they gave us for our handover and we're still waiting for handover works to start to it's good to see someone is getting something done!

Mel, we had a look at your place yesterday and it's looking great! You're ahead of us now! You can't be far away at all - have they given you a handover date?

Guys, how do I know if the builder has installed an NBN connection? I noticed everyone else has an NBN plate in their garages, but we've just got phone jacks - is that right?

No, I can't get any answers. We got told a while ago that they were having trouble getting the tradies back to our house but they tell us that they've got a whole team working on the house and when we go out there, all we see are tumbleweeds! (I think they grow on Mt Avonlee and end up at our place). Apparently, the construction manager (our ss's boss) is supposed to be calling me today

Plenty of tradies around yesterday - all finished up around midday though, was quite suprised.

Cooksey welcome to the forum, I got it from http://www.soakwellsolutions.com.au and they are poly - trafficable with load capacity up to 32t

Begun the task of digging yesterday, absolutely feeling it today! We all have nice sand but damn is it compacted! Took me what felt like forever to only manage to dig a hole big enough for two of the poly soakwells side by side. 8 more to go....

Thanks for that, it seems like a number of people of using these guys for soakwells and I haven't seen any bad feedback and they seem to be pretty cheap for DIY.

Well they finally pulled it off and we got r keys today!! The gas still needs connected and the door still hasnt arrived but everything was done.

Now the moving begins........cant believe how much kids accumulate!!

Awesome BJA, I drove past and saw the big red ribbon, so exciting for you.

I have started clearing out things each day, like the bath room cupboards, kids clothes etc trying to make sure we only take the stuff we really need.

Did you get your house finished through the builder or have you got flooring and painting etc to do yourselves now?

I haven't started packing yet because I didn't want to jinx it, but maybe I just need to be more presumptuous!

Hi everyone; congrats. on getting your keys BJA. Rang the Council this pm re effluent trucks either emptying or removing waste thru. steel plate near your place Mel; the stench is unearthly even near our house (268). The officer I spoke to initially said I should be contacting the developer Ha Ha because there was a high water issue in that area.(why was the developer given the o.k. to develop with the possibility of having the sewer system pumped out 2 or 3 times a week that I've noticed?)then told me the council will investigate as it should not be happening. I explained that a number of families will be moving in very soon and that they shouldn't have to put up with the stench regardless whether the trucks were emptying into the sewage system or emptying out the drains; something will have to be done very soon. Awaiting a reply.

Nice work Chevnut! bet Terranovis has tried cutting corners. I drove past today and notice the hose in front of Mel's house but no truck was around.

We are doing all the main flooring ourselves with blinds and paving etc, we just found the builder a bit too expensive although it would be nice to just walk in to a finished home!!
By the end of next week we should have our pool in and all flooring completed, the next project will be the paving.

Fun times!! Well unless your name is Brian and your are moving sand around!!

Are you guys all settled Daedalus. Like you guys BJA we will be getting painting and flooring done ourselves so we probably won't move into the house until a week after.
Hopefully we should know a pre handover date by Wednesday. We are onto our 4th SS. We met the first two never met the last and will meet this one at pre handover.

Smile I cant believe youve had 4 !!! Were lucky to have had the same SS all the way through except I wish we could have had a different CLO !! So smile do you have your PCI date??
