Gas pipe depth - plumbing standards
Just wondering what the standard was for depth gas pipes are laid.
Any difference in requirement of depth from
gas meter to footpath or depth of pipes from gas meter to home.
I'm landscaping at present and based on hand excavation they seem to be on average about 300mm deep. I thought gas was meant to be 600mm,
But maybe that is in the U.K.
much appreciated
Metallic Pipe 300mm
Non Metallic or composite 450mm
They can also be above ground a minimum of 50mm above ground level.
