Mystery crack?

We were checking the progress of our build the other day when we noticed this largeish crack.

Might be hard to pick but it runs from the bottom of the balcony to the slab where the front pillar meets the house.

Is something I should be worried about?
Hi Bleaky
Its hard to tell if it's designed to crack at that point in which case the stresses are relieved eg Control, expansion, articulation joint, etc. So you will need to look at the Engineering drawings and determine.
1. If there is a design joint in that location?
2. If so were there connections or rods used as specified?
3. Is the crack still opening up further or has it stabilized?
4. You can check this by drilling into the mortar joints at the rod locations.
5. if you are not sure consult the engineer and have him take a look.
Hopefully it will stop, it could also relate to your foundations and be seasonal, pad footings or strip, etc, etc

General Discussion

Most likely poor foam installation and render installation, Joint covered with render, foam could be sitting on flashing. Do you have any render at house
