No! I haven't accused everybody of corruption...
You, sir, must have rocks in your head if you think that's going to fly. Much like most of the other crap you sprout on this forum, you once again prove yourself as a biased, unprofessional and répétant twit.
From this thread alone with your BS:
I have been complaining about incompetence and corruption of BC for seven years but no one was listening,...
I have long known of BC corruption and have many times seen registered builders that knew nothing and occasionally could not speak english. There was no way they had the required competencies so the only answer was corrupt registration.
Building Commission corruption has not only allowed unqualified builders to become registered but has also prevented many qualified applicant's from becoming registered.
Building Appeals Board is corrupt as well ...
Seriously, grow up. Why anyone would give credence to much of the BS you come up with is beyond me, and this is just yet another example of it. Whether or not you are, touting yourself as an 'expert' is arrogant enough to have people see you feel you need to justify your 'experience'. Instead you have just become a nuisance, of which it doesn't take reading more than a few of your posts to see a pattern.
Slow down pls have got to go and get the recliner ready and the popcorn.
Interesting that they cite part of the problesm as a $3m shortfall in a $24b industry.
To put that's in perspective, that's like saying you had $24,000 to do something and overspent by $3.
BC is funded by receipts from a building levy and it's budget is around 28 M. The 3M overspend is not against value of the building industry of 24 Billion it's against its own budget. Much more serious than akashra's flawed perspective.
I have been complaining about incompetence and corruption of BC for seven years but no one was listening, so like virus it destroyed dreams and put people's lives at risk.
Don't get too excited about the new body, it will be many of the same people re-employed with new titles and pay rises.
I have just tried to read through BC prosecutions and when I logged on to BC site the pages have been moved(not accessible) so I just called BC
A lovely lady answered Victorian Building Authority and cheerfully informed me that nothing has changed just the name change and it was business as usual (honest to God)
If I wasn't tempered by experience I would have had naive hope that something would have changed but as I predicted it's the same gang with a different name minus couple of ripe/rotten lemons. It's still the same old lemon tree loaded with lemons and a few new ones.
Cheers
I see the new body has a new web site under construction....

Looks like Government 'Mates' rather than anyone who represent the average punter who wants a house built.
Yes, last time we had an architect
Now we have lawyers, planners, architect........
Not a single builder on the authority ???
