Thanks for your response. I’m not the owner of the property but actually a neighbour. The owner, her building practitioners and the relevant authorities were all well aware of this non-compliance, well before the Occupancy Permit was issued. However, I have heard that the responsibility for non-compliance enforcement moves from the VBA to the Council after the Occupancy Permit is issued. I don’t know if this comment is correct, so I’m just checking. However, after how it was like “herding cats” dealing with the VBA, dealing directly with Council “might” be an improvement, provided the above comment is correct.
