Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 May 06, 2018 2:22 pm Hi! We are looking at relocating our laundry so we can convert the current utility room into a 4th bedroom. The problem is with relocating the laundry. Initially we were going with cost effectiveness and putting it all into the bigger storage cupboard. However, have given it some thought and will like to now stick with our original plan of converting the shared toilet into the laundry and relocating the toilet into the common bathroom. I have attached a rough plan I found which roughly shows how the sewer was connected to the existing toilet. We are thinking of the space beside the shower stall as the new toilet space. Will the sewer plumbing be a difficult thing to revise? It's on a concrete slab so i understand we will need to dig. I have heard from 2 builders who basically said it's going to be a BIG job, as in almost not worth doing. I am going to have to talk to a plumber next, I guess, but if anyone out could shed some light on the most efficient way (ripping out the least stuff) to do it I would be very grateful. Thanks!
