Moving shower screen, ideas?

hi there,
I made the mistake of putting in a very narrow bath. with the shower screen on the inside of the lip, there is barely enough space on either side of your shoulders – bad mistake.
I don't want to rip out the bath, but would like to move the screen out. Here is my idea, but am unsure of how to fill the area between the lip and the glass. There needs to be a channel so the water off the screen goes back into the bath and does not puddle between the bath lip and the glass.

here's a bigger pic of the bathroom, for context

Ideas
1. a piece of timber (waterproofed) that the glass would sit on, timber molded so there is an angle for the water to drain back into the bath. pretty cost effective.
2. piece of stone – similar to the timber, prolly alot more expensive
3. a little tiled hob on top of the existing hop. might look a little odd as the other tiles are 300x600 around the bathroom

any other suggestions or comments?
