solid surface basins

Hi Jackie,

I've used many different brands of solid surface basins. Things you need to look out for, is if the basin is made from polyester (stone resin) or acrylic blends resin (real solid surface). Acrylic blends are UV stable. If it isn't, it will go yellow and crack. Some companies call their basins solid surface, but they are definitely stone resins.

Ask the question, most of the cheap brands don't. I have used some of stu-dio's basins, I haven't had any issues with them. Seems like a good solid surface basin for the price.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

thanks for the info. So does the material chip or stain?

It will be neat but you won't have much freeboard. At least they are not weep holes. Are you in a high intensity rainfall region? The regulatory slope is only required…

You can wash over existing pavers with 10% solution of water and hydrochloric acid, then wash off. The acid will provide for required bond key with new concrete.
