Renovating cistern

My cistern which sits next to the slightly open window in my ensuite is badly faded and really needs replaced, but there is a difficulty in I cannot match the colour and it has to match the tapware, toilet pan, wash hand basin and spa.
Been to plumbers shops and they want to replace the cistern and some want to also replace the pan because of water flow rates but the best colour is white which is ridiculous when the rest is a blue/grey colour.
I know I can get the ceramics recoloured but that is expensive just to match a cistern.
Easiest I can see is somehow renovate the plastic cistern in the original colour, but how?
Anyone any ideas?
