Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 22, 2014 1:48 pm Hi Everyone, In every house I have lived in, storage of the iron and ironing board has driven me crazy. It's always been a pain to keep in the cupboard with the vacuum. How do people store theirs in their laundry? Would it be better just to store on a bracket against the wall rather than in a cupboard? Any suggestions or pics would be appreciated. Thanks Tussy Re: Laundry Design. Where do you store your iron & ironing b 2Apr 22, 2014 7:24 pm I plan to store ours on a wall bracket inside the broom cupboard. Up off the floor and stops it collapsing over all the time you try to take anything else out. Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 Re: Laundry Design. Where do you store your iron & ironing b 3Apr 24, 2014 11:59 am It depends where you iron your clothes. The thought of ironing in a small laundry is a big no-no for a lot of people so they store the ironing board in say the laundry or linen press etc then drag it out to the lounge to do it in front of the TV. Most built-in types are either of the fold-down variety like the Robin Hood or the slide-out from under the bench type. These first three are of the slide-out from under the bench type. Either that or you would have to get something custom made. Stewie Re: Laundry Design. Where do you store your iron & ironing b 9Apr 25, 2014 9:27 am We keep our board in the laundry cupboard (half boom size, half shelving), and the iron in one of the IKEA brackets attached to the wall at the back of the cupboard. We iron in the laundry as a needs basis, so only pretty much iron one or 2 things at a time. I don't have an ironing pile...all the clothes go away un-ironed. Vacuum is kept under the stairs, usually, or where I last used it...I use it much more than the iron! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!!
