Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 05, 2012 7:57 am When I am having a shower (in new bathroom), or when the vanity tap is running, I cannot hear water running down the drain. However once the shower (or tap) is turned off, with only a little water left to drain, I can hear it (from the grate on the floor). Given it is a new bathroom, with new pipes, and the water flows freely through the drain, I would assume the noise is not due to a blockage. What other reason could there be? Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 9001 Thanks for your advice.
