Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Nov 25, 2023 9:33 pm Hi everyone, Hoping I might be able to ask for some assistance. I've moved into a new off the plan townhouse about 7 months ago. I ended up buying a VEVOR Infrared Thermal Imager Thermal Camera IR Resolution 240x180. I took some thermal camera photos of the ceiling on the second floor when it was raining throughout this week. I'm not sure how to interpret them but it looks like the camera recognises moisture? Here are some examples below. Is this normal or does it point to potential water leaks? Appreciate any help. Cheers. Re: Opinion about Ceiling Moisture 3Nov 26, 2023 9:11 am You really need to use a moisture meter in conjunction with a thermal camera. Remember, the thermal camera is only measuring differences in temperature - it's entirely possible some areas are just colder than others (especially when its just a few degrees difference). what's the rationale on this? In my mind, the risk weepholes mitigate isn't solved by acrylic render. 9 6965 Many thanks for your reply. Yes I am concerned with the work done.
