Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 63Mar 12, 2016 12:33 pm Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 65Mar 19, 2016 11:31 pm We choose this bamboo as it grows slightly taller and is a darker green. Yep we put root barrier in. You can see the black in the last photos. Theoretically won't need it as is clumping bamboo. Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 66Mar 27, 2016 2:32 pm Wow Yvonne, your grounds are looking fantastic!! the rocks are absolutely beautiful. Great job Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 67Mar 27, 2016 6:09 pm Slow going but we are getting there. This long weekend has helped us get some projects more underway inside and out Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 69May 24, 2016 8:14 pm Wow, that's taken off really well. I love it Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 72May 29, 2016 7:28 am Finally found your landscape thread...looking good Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 74Jul 26, 2016 1:03 am The guy I have now for the deck and pergola is very well priced. He's semi retired and I think charges very little for his labour. It was through a call out via hi pages. Bamboo is for sides of the front garden and courtyard. The ones I have in ground are going great and sending up tall shoots. Yeah Japanese maples are great! I've had that one for years now. Been moving it around a lot in the last few years. Still need to keep an eye out for a cloud tree. Also a Japanese water feature. But all that is possibly too much and may end up cluttering things. gạch viglacera Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 75Oct 16, 2016 12:13 am Hi yvonneh, anymore update on your landscape? You should try doing some espalier with them; it looks neat, saves space and increases productivity. We are espaliering pear, lemons and camellias. Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 78Nov 25, 2016 5:04 am Deck has been approved by council on the condition we add 1.5 m high screening to the north and south sides. A bit of a pain as it adds cost and is less aesthetically pleasing. We were planning on using plants to screen in any case as we don't want to see the neighbours. Now the job of getting quotes again. They are coming in at over $40k. Yikes. But then we have asked for spotted gum... And have an 8 sided gazebo and additional screening. On a good note the plants are really responding to Spring. And hubby has put in irrigation so I save at least 30 minutes a day from having to water the plants. I just have to turn on the irrigation and water some of the random pots. First raspberry! What a great screen they're going to be. Man over 40k... argh!! Perhaps you can do a really cheap (and most likely ugly) screen option, get OC, then take them down...? Replace with plants as you wanted in the first place? Re: Landscaping a new house (Sydney) 80Nov 25, 2016 9:15 am Wow 40k that not cheap, just add another $40k and you have granny flat. Your deck is quite high and big. Did Nathan come back with quote? Please let me know by pm as i'm also thinking of doing my deck with him. viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 I ended up going with 'Andrew Belic Construction Co.' https://www.instagram.com/andrewbelicconstruction/ 2 59683 0 4986 No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 6166 |
