Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jul 13, 2023 11:58 am Hi Neighbours tree since cut down however caused damage to double brick outbuilding (bricks separated with slight lean to a portion of wall); dwarf retaining wall collapsed as roots of tree moved into our property, rotted lower portion of lapped & capped timber fence, roots grew under cemented pavers lifting them upwards, another wall of same building acts as boundary fence against which neighbours soil packed from building footings up to approx 800m, after heavy rains water/moisture found inside the building along wall acting as boundary fence. Received engineer report on how to fix however need to know which type of builder to contact to repair all damages (boundary wall, dwarf retaining wall, leaning wall with separated bricks & fence). Thank you if you are able to advise. Re: Damages caused by tree 4Jul 14, 2023 11:50 am SaveH2O Is the neighbour paying? Yes but also asking us to take wear & tear into consideration. Ok, we will pay50% of new fence, need to contribute towards replacing dwarf retaining wall as their land has been built up higher but the rest was directly caused by the tree & unknown at this stage if they are willing to pay full costs. They have accepted that the tree did cause all damages. Anyway we will see what the outcome will be. Thank you. Building Standards; Getting It Right! I found https://treenet.org/resource/tree-prote ... -it-right/ which states if tpz encroachment is greater than 30% then do not proceed. My question then is, is this… 1 12379 It worked for me in getting all non notified rain days removed from the builders claim, although the LDs was only $50/day 7 14246 |
