I have a charged line rain water system. We get a bit of soil and water from the neighbours property as the street slopes downwards. Neighbours property is approx. 1m higher than my property. We have concrete in the sidewalk and there is a fair bit of soil accumalation near the house from the rainwater and the flush of the soil/water coming through from the neighbours. The neighbours sidewalk is also concreted upto 100mm from their side but since our side is lower we are getting the soil from underneath their concrete area. We were thinking of adding some strip drain and connect through to the rainwater charge system downpipes so that we don't have to create additional rain water pits. We have a timber retainer wall that we could potentially replace with a concrete retainer wall, but that doesn't stop the actual rain water getting accumalated in the side walk. Plus the cost of the retaining wall is also quite excruciating since the sidewalk is 23m long. My question is that - is there a way to connect the strip drains to the existing charge lines down pipe, so that additional rain water pits are not required to store and release water into the street kerb? Hi all Long time reader here, first time poster. My Mum bought a house a few years back and the downpipes off the bullnose verandah basically just went about a meter… 0 1548 I use Tramex moisture meter and it will tell me instantly if the wall is cement sheet or plaster or masonite but most people dont have the equipment. 5 16357 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 14966 |
