Villaboard, water resistand plasterboard or just the normal indoor ceiling plasterboard? Also do you have internal cornices in these areas or those timber type ones Re: What is your Alfresco and porch ceiling made out of? 2Jan 23, 2011 10:13 am Ours is regular plasterboard After 4 years - we're in! Re: What is your Alfresco and porch ceiling made out of? 4Jan 24, 2011 9:47 am Ours will be Western Red Cedar. Saw it in the display home and really wanted it. It just gave off a soft warm feel to the area. It's not cheap... We are having decking in our alfresco so cedar on the ceiling might be a bit much. Are you having tiles or decking in your alfresco? Re: What is your Alfresco and porch ceiling made out of? 6Jan 24, 2011 10:39 am ceder is an great product. The best for outside and will hopefully need less maintenance, cost about $1500 to do porch and alfresco but it took many hours of labor to sand and polish it after installation. Re: What is your Alfresco and porch ceiling made out of? 7Jan 24, 2011 2:20 pm Actually having decking as well. I hope it won't be too much The decking will be in Blackbutt to be the same as the timber floor in the house. The desire is to have the inside and the outside flow into each other. There will be two 2700 wide bifold doors to the alfresco. I know the WRC is a different wood but it just created such a nice ambience I just had to go for it. The ceiling is at 2700 so perhaps that separation will be enough. It's in the building contract so the builder will be installing it.
