It would be interesting to get some feedback on which finish looks cleanest for longest and which finish is easiest to clean. Cassa2 mentioned polyurethane? Gloss is a classic classy look, but does show finger prints. Satin is very modern, has the slightest of sheen, much nicer than flat. I think I will go gloss in my house, very classy.
